Interlake Farm Campground
Interlake RV Park (interlakervpark.com) is the closest campground to the Dutchess County Fairgrounds, located just 5 miles away. It’s also the closest campground to the Dutchess County Wine Trail, Franklin Roosevelt’s home and the Vanderbilt Mansion. You can rent an RV site to camp in, choose a furnished rental unit that sleeps up to six people, or spend the night in a single or double suite. In between fairground events, you can enjoy the campground’s heated swimming pool, free wireless Internet and 20-acre lake and fishing pond. The on-site Chipper’s Snack Shack serves breakfast, hamburgers, sandwiches, chicken and ice cream, or you can dine at one of the dozens of restaurants located within 5 miles of the campground, which offer a wide variety of cuisines, including Italian, Indian and Japanese.

Saugerties Woodstock KOA
Just a 25-minute drive across the Hudson River from the fairgrounds, Saugerties Woodstock KOA (saugertieskoa.com) has tent sites, RV sites and cabins at the foot of the Catskill Mountains. Within 5 miles of the campground, you’ll find local attractions, including the Saugerties Lighthouse, Kiwanis hockey and ice skating arena and the Puttin-Plus mini golf course and go kart track. The campground has a disc golf course, heated swimming pool, geocaching course, nature trails, fishing pond and bounce house. Scheduled activities such as crafts, fire truck rides and ice cream socials take place regularly. Around 20 restaurants, ranging from fast food to sushi to local cafes, can be found within 3 miles of the campground.

Rip Van Winkle Campgrounds
Rip Van Winkle Campgrounds (ripvanwinklecampgrounds.com) is divided into separate sections for tent camping, RV camping along the river and RV sites facing the scenic rock ledges. On-site recreation choices include catch-and-release fishing, a heated pool, nature trails and an arcade. Just a mile down the road from the campground is Atlantic Kayak Tours (atlantickayaktours.com), which offers a wide variety of kayak experiences and instruction for all experience levels. If you travel 2 miles from the campground, dining options include family restaurants, familiar fast food chains, pizza joints and a few independant restaurants splashed with local color. The campground is located 30 minutes northwest of the fairgrounds.
